The trailer for the movie Suzume no Tojimari (すずめの戸締まり has been released. Kimi no Na Wa and Tenki no Ko director Makoto Shinkai opens the door to a new reality.

The long-awaited trailer for the movie Suzume no Tojimari has been released. The new animated movie, prepared by Makoto Shinkai, the award-winning director of Kimi no Na Wa (Your Name) and Tenki no Ko (Weathering with You), is preparing to introduce the story of Suzume to the audience.
Suzume no Tojimari, which was first announced on December 15, 2021 and announced to be in cinemas in Japan towards the end of 2022, will also show Makoto Shinkai's return to cinemas after a 3-year hiatus. As always, Shinkai wrote the script as well as directing the movie. Masayoshi Tanaka, who previously worked with Shinkai, is returning as the character designer for the new movie. Kenichi Tsuchiya is the animation director and Takumi Tanji is the art director of Suzume no Tojimari. It is produced by CoMix Wave Films.
Suzume no Tojimari is Shinkai's 13th directorial effort following 2019's Weathering with You (Tenki no Ko), for which he won the "Animation of the Year" award at the 43rd Japan Academy Film Awards. Shinkai won the "Director of the Year" award for his 2016 film Your Name (Kimi no Na Wa) at the 40th Japan Academy Film Awards, as well as the third highest-grossing Japanese film success worldwide.
Shinkai's previous work includes The Garden of Words (Kotonoha no Niwa / Garden of Words), Children Who Chase Lost Voices (Hoshi wo Ou Kodomo / In Search of the Lost Voices), and 5 Centimeters per Second (Shinkai's Byōsoku Go Senchimētoru / 5 Per Second) Centimeters) are included.
